I got lucky the other morning. I spotted a fox between the highway and a field. I stopped and he wandered into the field. I followed after him hoping to get a few photos. He stayed about 25 feet in front of me. He became alert as he was beside some taller grass. Then suddenly he jumped into it. He spent some time nosing around. By this time I was less than 15 feet from him. He couldn't care less. He was after something and I didn't matter. After some minutes he came up with a mouse or vole. He killed it . Then walked back the way we came. About 100 feet later he stopped dug a hole and buried it. Then walked back to the edge of the highway and continued on his way. Just another day in the life of a fox but pretty exciting for me
